The Petzl RopeTrip® 2020 edition

Petzl RopeTrip®
2020

Singapore

For health reasons due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the fifth edition of the Petzl RopeTrip®, originally scheduled to take place from September 28 to October 2, 2020, is officially cancelled.

Every two years, the Petzl RopeTrip brings together the worldwide rope access community for a work-at-height competition and a technical symposium. In a warm, fun, and truly collegial atmosphere, participants share techniques and expertise working in the vertical world.

To reach the competition finals, each team must successfully complete the qualifying rounds, which include three individual events that each team member must finish, as well as a team event.

About Singapore

Singapore is an island, a city, and a country. The modern and very dynamic culture is world renowned. The sheer number of towering skyscrapers contrasts with the smaller buildings of the beautifully renovated historic neighborhoods. Multiculturalism is currently at its peak in a city whose residents come from all around the world to contribute to the incredibly prosperous economy. This cosmopolitan metropolis also offers a wide range of activities to enjoy.

From the parks and botanical gardens that contain an incredible variety of plants and birds, to the museums and other cultural attractions, by way of the breathtaking skyline and many places to shop, there is something for everyone to enjoy during excursions through the city. With such a unique blend of cosmopolitan influences, it feels like visiting several Asian countries all at once when strolling from one neighborhood to the next. This cultural mix shows up in the amazing cuisine; food courts are highly recommended to enjoy an incredible assortment of tasty dishes that cost no more than pocket change. Singapore’s tropical urban jungle never sleeps, as the hip neighborhoods keep the city moving from dusk till dawn.
